What a terrific combo! Both ovens work great! I like the remote feature for the regular oven and the adjustable grill temps. Oven stays at constant temps. It's impressive!

My wife like others thought we were buying a great appliance brand but we were wrong. First the door spring broke so we replaced the door. The spring broke again so we lived with it as the door is quite expensive. We then lost power to the microwave and it turned out to be a door switch. We had it replaced with a two person crew as the microwave is connected to the oven. We unfortunately did not know this. Guess what we lost power again and had the unit repaired again the other door switch.
Tonight we lost power again and I suspect a bad door switch. Oh yes I didn't mention the microwave lumination is very faint compared to the oven. Needless to say I'm extremely dissapointed in Bosch's microwve. Our Dishwasher and oven are very good. I will not put anymore money into this lemon of a mirowave. The problem is how do I replace just the microwave as it is wired into the oven and mounted to the oven?

Everything works fine and looks great but, as with other reviewers, there are some things that don't make sense. The time on the microwave dims, the microwave doesn't beep when it's finished, and it seems to fill with condensation more than any other microwave I have owned. The oven has been great so far!

I purchased a home that had the Bosch appliance already installed. So, I didnt buy them nor researched them - I just got them. Well, I am extremely pleased. I laughed when I saw the smart feature because I thought to myself - who would ever use it....well, I do. I love being able to get on with activity around the house and be notified the oven is pre-heated - or to be outside and the alarm on the phone goes off when the timer is done. Finally, the cook time on a package is the shortest time on the appliance. Love this setup.

Good unit. Thought the WiFi was a gimmick, but we use it a lot. It alerts us when the oven preheats. The microwave door is bottom hinged, so it takes a bit if a reach to clean the back, but overall we're very satisfied with our purchase. Microwave plugs into the oven, but we ran it on a different circuit so the generator would support it. Would definitely recommend to others.

There is a way to set the brightness on the microwave display. Every time I set it it resets to dim after an hour or so. This is the only thing I don't like, and it's really annoying!

We recently purchased a house that had double ovens, but no built-in microwave. So we measured and determined that the best fit for the space vacated by the double ovens was the Bosch 800 series combo oven and microwave. I love being reunited with a built-in microwave and my wife gets a kick out of preheating the oven from her cellphone. This is a good quality appliance and purchasers will not be disappointed. Highly recommend.

Looks nice. Bosch quality as you would expect when it comes to hardware aspect. Was hoping for better software/display. Somebody needs to rework this and at that price put an integrated color display......Just saying look great but need to step into the 21st century as far as technology goes.

We have had this for just slightly over a year. First, the microwave oven light is super dim, you can barely see the clock time unless you are actively using it. We had a Bosch repair person come out and look at it and after consulting with Bosch we were told that is just the way it is. Really disappointing. Second, our oven, just outside of warranty, has stopped heating and now we have to pay to have it serviced (just a little over a year old). Terrible product, I would recommend avoiding at all costs.

Overall, we like this unit. Sleek in appearance and over works well. Oven has several features that were important in our search (eg: proof function.)
However, there are several details that could have been better engineered. One is the display brightness. (This was commented on in previous reviews I read before purchasing. I wish I had heeded them.) The display for the microwave is very dim, especially when it goes to sleep. Even at maximum brightness, it is difficult to see, particularly if the user is not tall. (The upward direction of gaze makes it even dimmer.)
Second, the door orientation for the microwave could be better. Since the microwave is the upper unit, it tends to be high on the wall. For a shorter person, the downward hinging door is an obstruction to reaching in for food. It would be better with a side hinged door to allow easier access.
I'm not an engineer. Thus, it is perplexing that these things weren't considered by someone more knowledgeable in design.

Love the way they look and cook. Heavy duty construction and very solid feel.The convection bake feature for the oven is amazing. We've never had a pull down to open microwave but wouldn't want it any other way now. Perfect buy for our needs!

The Oven and microwave is stylish and sleek. It works well. I rated this combo at 4 stars because the microwave display dims after 15 minutes and you can read it. If you touch any button, the display comes back on and is readable. I turned the clock totally off on the microwave since you can't read it after 15 minutes anyway. Would be nice to have the time displayed also on the microwave.

I love the look and feel of these appliances. They were backordered for 9 months but so far are worth the wait. I haven't used every single function on themyet but what I have used has been even heating/cooking. The oven (bottom) is wi-fi enabled. It's not a necessity but you can control/shut it off from your phone if you are in a meeting and can't step away. Or preheat it while you are on your way home with a take and bake pizza. Nice feature. The stainless steel isn't finger print resistant but it does clean up easy and always looks great.

we love our new combination oven/microwave unit/ the pre=heat works great on the oven. the microwave is quiet and the fan down't run for a minute after you heat something for 30 seconds. only problem is bell is not loud enough when time is finished.definately reocmmend this unit.

This is a great oven! Preheats fast and is wifi enabled to start it without being near the oven. This even broils fast and telescopic shelf (2 standard) and a fan for conventional heating. Cleaning is also easy.

It's a really good looking addition to our kitchen but not really pleased overall. The uooer unit microwave is only 950 watts and coming from 1100 I had is real step down as far as cooking times.
The digital clock on it goes from bright to very dim (I have on brightness 3 setting) to point you can't read it. I asked Bosch about it and reply was energy saving issue. Might cost couple cents a year to have on bright all the time. Need to reengineer the "feature" Next the lower unit convection oven is not heating properly so I already got technician coming out to look at convection oven. Took six months to get unit and been installed less than a month.

Purchased 1/20/20, failed 4/25/21. This unit was purchased in January of 2020, installed and put into use in March of 2020. This morning, April 25, 2021, when warming up my breakfast, the top of the microwave unit at the placement of the "magnetron" began arcing to the food. It sounded like fireworks in the kitchen. The unit is completely unusable. Upon inspection, the apparatus under the interior cover is completely fried (blackened.) Purchase price paid for combo unit was $3,397. I expected a Bosch appliance to last longer than 15 months.

Had the new micro/oven combo for a month. Works great. Microwave has many new options we've never had before like sensor heating. No more cold or hot spots. Food is evenly cooked. I will definitely continue to purchase Bosch products in the future. We Will be building a new home in the near future I will make sure to have all new Bosch appliances in my kitchen and laundry room.

Purchased the 800 series speed cook microwave oven combo on 2/20/18. Didn't move in until 5/18. Microwave portion had to be worked on 2 times under warranty. On 4/8/20 stopped heating and the turntable stopped turning. Cost me an $533 to fix a $4000 appliance. On 3/18/21 the same problem again! Looking for a remibursement or replacement with a non speed oven microwave. Spent hours on the phone and I'm waiting for someone to diagnose the problem.

I was very disappointed to find the maximum defrost is related to 3#. May times frozen meat products or other items such as frozen contaainers of soup require more defrost time than assigned to 3#. This ultimately causes the user to have to re-start the defrost cycle more than once. Recommend adding a defrost cycle option that allows the user to specify the defrost time or provide a pre-set for something like 25 to 30 minutes.

I'm disappointed in the tiny ding of the microwave and oven when cooking is finished. I can barely hear it even if I'm standing next to the appliance. Also, the oven delay timer is not easy to use. I preferred my old oven when I could simply put in the time I wanted the oven to start. I do like the sensor cook feature on the microwave. Does vegetables beautifully.

Overall the quality of the oven/microwave is very good. These are some basic aspects that I rate a 1 which is why the overall rating is a 3.
First the clock on the microwave has minimal illumination. When you open the door it is bright but moves into a reduced light mode where you cannot read at a distance. I have played with the settings and no improvement. The oven clock stays lit well so I know it's possible. However, I have to look at the bottom to read the time at a distance. If using the timer you have to get up close to read it.
The kitchen timer only allows you to enter hour/minutes. There is no flexibility. I have to use a separate timer for many items I cook where the time is not a whole minute. Timer shows whole minutes remaining until you get under a minute then you see a countdown. I don't like this.
Oven does not work well for multiple rack cooking like cookies. While their is a convection multi rack option, there is not one for bake. Cookies do not get done on the bottom before top is toast.
Oven preheat is a bar and does not show the temperature. Tough to know where it is in the preheat. Oven seems to take a long time to preheat. There is a fast preheat button to use which works well but another button you have to push.
When the door is opened you can't tell how far your temp has dropped and when it comes back to temp.
Sound level on both is weak. If you are not within a few feet you would not hear the beep when coming to temp or using the timer.
These are basic to an oven/microwave combo which are of poor design on the product.

We have enjoyed the combination microwave and oven for just under 2 years when the microwave started flashing and sparking while cooking (without metal inserted). We called a Bosch repair center and paid for an 8 minute visit when 2 gentlemen told us that the magnatron was burned out and had damaged the microwave so the whole unit had to be replaced. Now the microwaves are on back order. I have asked for a discount on a new one, but not heard back from Bosch in 2 weeks. It is had to find another appliance that will fit above the wall oven so we are probably stuck putting in another Bosch and crossing our fingers. I expected it to last longer for the high expense. With the delay in getting new ones, I am considering pulling out both appliances and replacing them with a different brand.

Had it about 6 weeks. Oven function stopped working. Customer services suggested a service tech as they couldn't figure out. Service tech suggested connecting to WiFi ( why must I do this?) to get recent software update. Home connect installed. Software update installed still no bake.
