Disappointed in NYC

Lasted 2 years.I reached out to customer service as the compressor failed after 2 years of regular household use and customer service refused to do anything more than discount the replacement parts. Obviously, this does very little as the labor to replace the compressor and coils exceeds the value of the machine.I will know next time to avoid a Frigidaire.

My freezer is 1 year and 1 month old. Last night we found that the freezer was not working and all of our meat and other items were spoiled. I called the service number this morning and they said that our freezer was out of warranty. Not sure what happened, but the smell and clean up was terrible.I know: Should have had an alarm! But it was a new freezer!Can™™t clean the drain going to the catch pan, so I will probably move to the garage.We don™™t trust this freezer anymore.

We purchased this Freezer in Nov of 2020. The compressor failed in Aug of 2023 it did NOT even last 3 years. Worst part we lost thousands of dollars worth of food as we were on vacation when it quit working. I don't know if it was a poor build because it was built during the height of COVID. But I would steer clear of this model.

Purchased Frigidaire September12,2022, not freezing food. Very disappointed in Freezer and service. I had to wait over 40 minutes on phone, once speaking to someone, I was disconnected. It has been over 7 days since Freeze has not been fixed. I have over $1000.00 worth of food sitting in 5 coolers. I will never buy or recommend Frigidaire.

Disgusted with the product. Less than a year old and the compressor went bad loaded with a whole beef!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Called to have it repaired and the compressor isnt available one year later????? Sucks. Ill never buy another product that has their name on it. Wanted to give me a 400.00 dollar credit towards a new 1,000 dollar freezer. Why would I buy another piece of crap parts arent even available for???? Keep your 400.00. Ill see you in court and you will pay my attorney fees.

Shelves are so weak that when 1/2 loaded they are bowed so much they are dangerous.MISTAKENLY LOADED 2LB PKGS OF HAMBURGER ON THE TOP SHELF. THE WIFE TUGGED ON THE DOOR TO OPEN (YES IT'S THAT HARD) AND SHOOK 1 OF THE PKGS LOOSE AND IT HIT HER ON TOP OF THE HEAD. DANGEROUS!!!CAN YOU SAY LAWSUIT????

Like the Freezer but the shelves SUCK...Shelf material is not strong enough to hold shelves up, they sag. This sag caused my wife to be hit on the head by 2#'s of frozen Hamburger with a nasty gash.I had to beef them up so the no longer sag. Read other reviews because I found it was a known issue after the fact...

DO NOT PURCHASE Freezer is great if you want to spend 900.00 for 16 month use. Repair guy stated compressor shot and under warranty. Frigidaire stated no separate warranty for compressor and they cannot supply the part for repair. Lost ~ $500.00 in food and 900.00~ for unit.

Ten months in, still under original warranty, unit stopped. Four weeks later, finally repairman said unit needed replacing. Today, 10 weeks from breakdown, still no appliance. Customer service is beyond horrible! Sadly, a month prior to this unit dying, we had just purchased a Frigidaire single refrigerator and freezer spending over $6,000. Will NEVER purchase another.

We have a chest freezer by frigidaire approximately 18 years old. Still running great. We need more freezer space however. Seen this one, which is HUGE, and love it so far. Only down would be while the door has reverse points on it, the actual freezer does not. Changed our arrangement and it works fine though

The Fridigaire upright freezer is a great way for us to preserve summer food for winter. It has more space than we thought to hold stone fruit and tomatoes. The shelves should have a raised bar on the front, however, to keep more bags on the shelf.

Worded great the first 9 months. Then stopped and 2 weeks to get someone out to look at it(under warranty ) but I had to buy another freezer . So once it™™s fixed I have to. Nothing lasts anymore . Last one before this was 18 years old, then died. Sad the way they make all products anymore. Not like is use to be.

This freezer is a great value for the price point. Well built with strong shelving and plenty of space. The door seal is very strong ... a good thing in my book! The refrigerator/freezer option is nice to have should it ever be needed.

Freezer is great, it is really big, not sure what I was expecting, but this will hold a LOT. We are remote, 60 plus miles, from a reliable grocery store, so freezer space is a must. Set up was simple, it is quiet. It is so large it could use another shelf on the door and main space, we are not even close to full and have a slight bow in one shelf from the weight.

This thing had a 1 yr warranty, I see why. The temperature in the unit goes to 39 degrees and that™™s it. My frozen meat thawed and the service department cannot troubleshoot anything to tell me what is broken and what needs to be replaced. $1000 for the unit and $1000 in lost meat™¦very frustrated!

The only drawback is the door is very difficult to open - great suction. No handle, just an indentation on the outside of the door frame to pull. When pulled, the unit has a tendency to move toward you.

Love that it's so big. Can also be used as just a refrigerator. Took a bit to figure out the settings for full freeze, but after that it froze fine. Not as cold as a standard freezer, but keeps everything frozen.

Needed to purchase the largest and best rated freezer quickly after the failure of an older competitors unit. Was impressed with the capacity, quality and closure (door stays shut well) of this unit. I like to separate meats in bins and this was able to hold more than my last freezer. It can also be used as a refrigerator, so there is the added choice for anyones need. So far very good and I would recommend the Frigidaire Upright Freezer.

New is not always better!!!!!! Interior is sparse and NO accessories, it™™s a blank space. Distance of the shelves are so big that the food would fall over, no way of being organized. Oh the shelves are WEAK, I am afraid that any weight would bend the shelves and that would be another problem that I will need to solve in the future I am sure. If you want to return it, they will charge 25 percent to restock. Only reason I bought this is duo to I owned a Frigidaire before and due to lack of supply. I have been to 5 stores and the internet to solve my organization and more $$$$$ spent.

Very disappointed with this 1.5 year old freezer. Freezer does not cool any longer and repair person said it was a "closed system" and couldn't be repaired. Frigidaire customer service said one thing and completely reversed course after two months of waiting with no help whatsoever.
