When shopping for a large LCD flat panel television there are certainly a lot of choices out there.
With all the brands and models available on the market today, the Mitsubishi LT52149 52” LCD Television appears to be a great value if you’re looking for a beautiful flat panel TV that also packs quite an audio punch with its Integrated Sound Projector (ISP).
Since so many people are mounting these televisions on the wall in their living rooms, it’s become quite a challenge to integrate a surround sound system. Finding just the right spot for a center speaker can be rather difficult, since there may not necessarily be a table or stand underneath the television to place it on. Even more difficult may be finding a place for an audio receiver, along with running wires throughout the room. With the LT52149, thankfully, that isn’t a problem.
The ISP consists of 16 small speaker drivers which are arranged in a horizontal row along the bottom of the screen. They use a technique called “beam steering” which are aimed to reflect from the walls in your living room to create a surround soundfield, providing a pleasantly surprising movie experience without all the added equipment. However, the television does have a subwoofer output to help enhance the low frequencies.
The picture on this television is also quite impressive. The LT52149’s screen is refreshed at 120Hz, reducing motion blur while providing excellent detail. The picture is also bright with very deep color and excellent contrast, and is very smooth. You can also have different picture settings for each individual input, which allows you to customize each source you’re using.
Speaking of which, the input package for this television is quite impressive. It has four rear HDMI inputs, two rear component inputs, along with a single rear S-Video Input. It also has a single component input on the side of the television, along with an additional USB input right underneath it. It also is one of the few televisions out there that still has a CableCard input, which if it’s being mounted to the wall allows you to not have to find a place for a cable box to access premium package channels from your local cable company.
The controls for the ISP are also quite interesting. The menu allows you to specify where in the room the television is located, as well as inputting the lengths of the walls and the seating distance from them. You can also see from the custom screen the angle and volume of each audio beam, and there is a graphic that reveals the path each beam takes as it reflects off the walls. It makes it very easy to tailor your television to your room and enhance your viewing experience.
So come into the showroom and have one of our sales associates show you first hand the amazing picture and audio this television possesses. You may find that it will become a welcomed addition to your living room.
